Terms And Conditions

Confirmed Bookings

Guests will receive a confirmation receipt shortly after completing their booking. If you do not receive it, it is your responsibility to contact us to resolve any potential errors promptly.


Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: Self-check-in is available anytime after 15:00. Once payment is processed, you’ll receive your PIN code for the key box along with house rules.
  • Check-out: Guests are required to check out by 11:00.

Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on availability and must be arranged in advance with the owner. Please note that the cottages are located in a non-serviced area, and there is no reception on-site.

Bed sheets and towels

  • We expect guests to bring their own bed laundry and towels.
  • If it is not possible to bring it with you, it is possible to borrow bed linen and towels for an additional fee (NOK 200 set).

Use of electric car charger

  • Cost: 1 kWh costs 5 kroners.
  • Let the owner know that you would like to charge the car.
  • Let the owner know how much you would like to charge the car (kWh).
  • Transfer the money via Vipps.
  • Payment details: Name Maiken Persidski. Phone number 469 57 054.
  • The payment need to be done before charging starts.
  • The payment is only possible via Vipps.

NB! Without prior agreement, the owner will stop charging.


Pets

Pets are not allowed in the cottages.


Drone Flying Guidelines

To maintain the privacy and comfort of all guests, drone flying is restricted as follows:

  • Allowed only between 10:00 and 18:00.
  • Maximum radius of 10 meters from your cottage.
  • Strictly prohibited near other cottages or at high altitudes.

Thank you for respecting the privacy of others during your stay.


Safety Standards and Liability

  • Hylja is not liable for any loss, damage, sickness, injury, or accidents caused by events outside our control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance before their trip to cover unexpected issues, cancellations, or emergencies.
  • Guests are fully responsible for their safety and that of their group during their stay.
  • The cottages are equipped with smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit for your safety.

Valuables and Belongings

Hylja is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. Guests are advised to secure their valuables and personal belongings during their stay.


Coupon Codes

  • Coupon codes can be used only when booking through our website.
  • They are non-refundable and have no cash value.
  • Each code is valid for a specific period, which will be noted on the voucher.

Traveling with Children

  • A baby travel cot is available for infants up to 1.5 years old or 15 kg.
  • The cottages (Spegill and Fela) can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 1 infant.
  • Children under 12 must always be supervised by an adult.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottages and on the terraces. A cleaning fee of 4000 NOK will be charged if smoking occurs in these areas.


Cleaning

A cleaning fee is added to the nightly rate and is shown clearly during booking. In cases of excessive mess, an additional cleaning fee of 900 NOK may apply.


Photographs and Content Usage

Photographs or videos taken at Hylja cottages cannot be used for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Unauthorized use may result in compensation claims.


Weather and Road Closures

During winter, roads may occasionally close due to heavy snow or storms. These closures are typically temporary, and detour routes are often available. Guests are responsible for checking road conditions and adjusting their travel plans accordingly.

In extreme cases where roads are completely inaccessible and Hylja staff cannot prepare the cottages, guests will receive a full refund. However, if the cottages are ready and accessible but guests are unable to reach them, no refunds will be issued.


Lost and Forgotten Items

Hylja is not responsible for lost or forgotten belongings. Guests may retrieve their items within 7 days after check-out. After this period, items will be donated or disposed of.

If you wish to have items shipped, you will be charged for postage, packaging, and an additional 1000 NOK processing fee. International shipments may take longer as they require travel to the capital for processing.


Damage and Theft

Guests are responsible for any damages to the property, including fire damage, broken items, or stains on furniture. Costs for repairs or replacements will be charged to the credit card on file. Evidence of the damage will be documented and shared with the guest.

Stolen items, such as decorations, appliances, or bedding, will also be charged, and our team will notify us immediately if items are missing.
